Six telling time worksheets with clear analog clocks: read the time to the hour, half hour, quarter hour, 5 minutes and minute, or draw the hands on empty clocks. The hour hand moves between the numbers as it does on a real clock, so 3:30 sits halfway to the 4.

Ready to print: Telling time to the half hour, with its answer key. Open any skill in the list for its own sheet.

Ideas for using these sheets

  • Use a real clock with gears, or one made from a paper plate, so children can move the hands themselves.
  • Look at the short hand first: it says the hour, even when it sits between two numbers.
  • Count the minutes by fives around the clock before the 5-minute sheet.
  • Ask about the time at moments in the day, such as lunch or home time, and draw it on a clock.

Every setting can be changed above before you print, and “New problems” makes a fresh sheet as often as you like.
